The short version

MED is free and the download never asks for your email. If you choose to give it to us, we use it only for what you signed up for. We don't sell or share it.

Release-notes signup and contact forms

The "Get MED release notes by email" signup and the optional contact form on this site are handled by Netlify Forms (our web host). They collect what you type: your email, and optionally your name, role, or company. We use it to send occasional MED release notes or to answer you. Every release-notes email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email clintmoore@mooredesign.net and we'll remove you.

Optional MED registration (installer and in-app)

MED may ask you to register once: in the Windows Setup or Patch installer, or inside AutoCAD the first time the App Store version of MED runs (you can reopen it later with the MEDREGISTER command). Registration is optional. If you skip it, nothing is sent, and a failed send never stops the install or MED itself.

If you choose to register, MED sends:

• your name and email
• your company (optional)
• whether you want MED update emails (want_updates), which is off unless you tick it
• the MED version, release channel and install type (installer or App Store)
• from the installer only: build information and your Windows computer name
• the time you registered

It goes to mooredesign.net, which forwards it to us by email through an email delivery service (Resend or FormSubmit) and keeps a copy in Netlify Forms. We use it to know who is using MED and, only if you opted in, to send MED update emails. We don't sell or share it.

To withdraw consent, stop update emails or have your registration deleted, email clintmoore@mooredesign.net. Every update email also includes a way to unsubscribe.

The MED add-in inside AutoCAD

Apart from the optional registration above, MED's AutoCAD tools run locally. Based on a review of the public source code, the add-in does not include analytics or telemetry and does not send your drawings or project data anywhere. Your data stays in your drawings and local MED files. The source is open on GitHub if you want to check for yourself.

Downloads and this website

The download link sends you to the installer file on GitHub, which has its own privacy statement. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and our host Netlify keeps standard server logs. We don't use advertising trackers.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep signup and registration details only as long as you're on the list or using MED. Ask us anytime and we'll delete them from Netlify Forms and our email. Our providers (Netlify, and Resend or FormSubmit, which deliver registration emails) only process this data to run those services for us.
